intermediate dressmaking - Make a knockout party dress


This workshop is spread over two full days and is perfect for confident beginners to get to grips with more complex dressmaking techniques. 

Who is this course for?

This workshop is suitable for someone who has previous experience of setting up a sewing machine and making some simple projects (eg cushions and tote bags etc).

What will you get from this course?

You will be sewing either the Betty dress by Sew Over It or the Anna dress by By Hand London. A copy of both patterns are included in the price of the course.

You will learn how to read a dressmaking pattern, measure yourself, learn the importance of pattern placement, insert an invisible zip, french seams and more.

What do you need to bring?

You will need to bring enough fabric and notions as required to make your garment choice. Full details will be sent upon confirmation of the booking. 

The pattern and use of tools and equipment, including a Janome sewing machine, is included in the course price.

If  you  are  travelling from outside of  the  area  rooms are  available to  book  overnight.
