Join quilting expert Louisa Goult in this 5-part series of classes as she teaches you cutting, piecing and quilting techniques to make a wall hanging or set of cushions.

who is this class for?

This class is aimed at the complete beginner who has some basic sewing skills and can sew a simple straight stitch on a sewing machine.

what will I get from this class?

In each class Louisa will introduce you to different piecing techniques to make up four blocks which can then be sewn together into a wall hanging or a set of cushions. In the last class Louisa will show you how to quilt and bind your finished project.

what do i need to bring?

Sewing machines and cutting tools will all be provided. A full materials list will be sent to you after booking the workshop, but just to give you an idea, you will need:

- Four fat quarters in co-ordinating fabrics

- 50cm of a contrasting background fabric

- 75cm of backing fabric and wadding

- Cotton thread 


The Sewmotion pop-up shop will be open an hour prior to the each class and  students can have 10% off anything in store.

This structured quilting course is spread over FIVE 2.5hr sessions and will run on Wednesday 3rd, 10th, 24th April and 1st and 8th May
